Some ad platforms do not include any identifying information when they link to your website. This makes it difficult for Propel Replays to know where the visitor came from.

There is a workaround though. Propel Replays is compatible with UTM parameters

In your ads manager, please add the following to the end of the URLs to your website:

?utm_campaign=paid&utm_source=AD-PLATFORM-NAME

So:

https://www.mystore.com/

would become:

https://www.mystore.com/?utm_campaign=paid&utm_source=AD-PLATFORM-NAME

(Replace AD-PLATFORM-NAME with the name of the ad platform you're using - e.g., Twitter. The name cannot include any spaces or special characters - letters, numbers, dashes and underscores only.)

Propel Replays (and others) will pick that up and identify the traffic as paid and coming from the ad platform you specify. If you're curious, here's some more info on UTM parameters: https://blog.hootsuite.com/how-to-use-utm-parameters
